ABOUT THE AUTHOR 

Fr. Michael Panachikal VC is a prominent lyric composer who has produced several Christian devotional albums and a few movies.  He has written several books and articles in English and Malayalam. He is credited with the production of the first Catholic Audio Bible in Malayalam, the entire text recorded in his own voice.

The Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council Media Commission had selected him as the best lyric composer in Christian devotional songs. The Shalom Media Award for 2012 was conferred on him as acknowledgement of his contribution to the Church.

Fr. Michael is the founder Editor of ‘Vachanolsavam,’ a Catholic magazine published in seven languages. As a retreat preacher he has travelled widely in India and abroad. He was Novice Master, Director of Popular Mission and Asst. Provincial Superior of St. Joseph’s Province of the Vincentian Congregation. Presently, he is the Director of Depaul Media Mission and a resident member of the Vincentian House at Ramalloor near Kothamangalam in Ernakulam district.
