Intimacy is romance; it is company; it is coexistence; it is love; it is ecstasy. Nay, it is all these, and beyond, transcending all boundaries of blood relations. It is a total surrender of the self to the other and to the society, without counting the cost. Indeed, it is an ideological commitment, with all the freshness and sweetness of being together. Yes, friendship is a lifelong process of continuous give and take where two individualities melt into one personality, where personalities merge into a society and all have a decent living, enjoying freedom, equality, acceptance, respect and worth.
