About the Author

Sr.Dr. Kochurani PJ. (Sr.Rani Jose FCC) is working as a social worker at Nirmala Sadan, Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India since 1989. Presently, she is the director of Vimala Social Centre, Muvattupuzha, and is also working as a counsellor at Vimala Mahila Samajam Counselling Centre, Muvattupuzha. She has obtained her Ph.D. in Social Work from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, in 2015. She has published many research articles in national journals of repute. She has presented papers at a number of national/ international seminars/ conferences related to early intervention programme for exceptional children, special education, artificial jewellery making, sports, yoga, leadership, master training programme on parent training, adolescent care & premarital counselling, sexual health counselling, transactional analysis, gender awareness programmes, E-resources, article writing, etc. Social work is a passion for her and she finds fulfilment in serving those who are less privileged and those who are deprived in one way or another.
