Description

MATTHEW’S: CATECHETICAL GOSPEL

Matthew’s Catechetical Gospel: Training Disciples in the Truth for the Kingdom of Heaven within the Jesus Tradition offers Christian believers a religious experience of the Matthean text along with several ecclesiastical documents. In the second stage of the Gospel Listening Experience (GLE), Christian households are recatechized in and by the Gospel according to Matthew in the moral teachings of Christ as found in the Matthean text and in its living Apostolic Tradition. It guides Christians to Jesus Christ, who is the Truth. Matthew teaches the believers how to recognize Jesus Christ as the Truth. Christ not only knows the truth but also is truth and lives the truth. He helps believers to rediscover the truth. Many believers today are on a path of self-destruction. They have lost sight of the relationship between freedom and truth in their present-day culture and world view.
