The book is divided systematically and symmetrically into two parts together comprising of twenty chapters. As is obvious from the title, the intention of the book is to function as a hand book to the trainers of consecrated life.Any reader will easily discern that the author had successfully attained his target In his apostolic letter announcing the Year of Consecrated Life, Pope Francis also invites the attention of the religious to respond to the three dimensions of their call in time, that is, to look to the past with gratitude, to live the present with passion and to embrace the future with hope. The first part of the book is unveiling the foundation of consecrated life that shaped the glorious past of religious life and would enable them live passionately the present and step towards the future with greater courage etc. The author has successfully delineates the distinction between academic and spiritual formation of the candidates. Dr. Abey Kootanalloor is a priest belongs to the St. Thomas Province of Little Flower Congregation. (C.S.T. Fathers) He holds a degree in M.A. Philosophy and has obtained doctorate in Theology from St. Thomas Aquinas University, Rom.
